Upcoming.org:

Andy Baio is launching a humdinger of a new project:

Upcoming.org is a collaborative event calendar, completely driven by people like you. Enter in the events you’re attending, comment on events entered by others…”

This is just the kind of thing I’ve been hoping for. Supposing enough people from your ‘metro’ sign up to make it lively, you now have centralised source for keeping pace with the numerous goings-on in your region. Far more convenient than straining to keep abreast of the concert listings in newspapers, and cultural event listings published elsewhere. Thanks Andy!

Hey, no problem. I’m just trying to make something I can use myself. If other people find it useful, more power to them. BTW: Arrr!

I didn’t think there were really that many events worth talking about in Britain. We like to keep things to ourselves.

Hmm. There seem to be two entries for “Leeds” in the UK section at upcoming. Lovely logo - I could just imagine having it festooned across my arse on a nice pair of jeans.

Hey, are they new pictures up on the right? Or am I just, like, relli relli slow?

Chris, I’ve had those three pictures lying around for over a month, but only got round to posting them this week.

Andy, ‘Avast there landlubber!’

This brings me to the first point I want to make about what this book is not. I am not advocating a morality based on evolution. I am saying how things have evolved. I am not saying how we humans morally ought to behave. by online casino games
